Information you provide to us
How we use your information
Personally Identifiable Information: We will use your information to process any orders you place with us, and to liaise with you regarding the payment and delivery of your order. However, because our website is not an e-commerce trading platform we will never ask you to transmit sensitive financial information to us via our website. We will use your personal data to process and update you on the delivery of your order, or to contact you regarding any back orders or forward orders we have received from you. Occasionally we may ask for feedback from you about our products and services to help us develop and improve what we offer and how we communicate with you. Also, for quality control and training purposes we may monitor or record your communications with us.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information: We may use non-personally identifiable information (such as anonymous usage data, number of clicks, etc) to help us understand usage patterns. We do not share or publish this information, which is used only for internal analysis.
We don’t send junk mail – you may receive e-mails or marketing information from us because you have agreed to correspond with us electronically and have allowed us to include your email address on our mailing list. In return for your consent to use your information in this way we promise only to email you with details of new collections and promotions that we think will interest you. You can opt out of our mailing list at any time by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org and asking to be unsubscribed from our newsletter. You can also use the unsubscribe option which appears at the end of our newsletters.
How we protect your information
We will at all times comply with the standards, procedures and requirements of UK data protection laws to ensure that the personal information you give us is kept appropriately secure and processed fairly and lawfully. However, please remember that sending information over the internet is generally not completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your data while it’s in transit so any data you do send is at your own risk. However, we have procedures and security features in place to keep your information secure once we receive it.
Sharing your information with third parties
In order to process and deliver your order to you we may have to pass your information to some of our service providers. This includes the Post Office, Royal Mail or the courier company who delivers your order. Your contact telephone number or e-mail address may be passed to them to enable them to contact you by telephone, text message or e-mail in order to update you on the delivery date or time of your order. We will only provide these companies with the information which they need to carry out their jobs. They will only be allowed to use your information in the way in which we tell them, and they will not be entitled to use it in their own right. We won’t share your information with any other organisations for marketing, market research or commercial purposes, and we don’t pass on your details to other websites.
Updating your personal information
You can update the information we hold about you at any time by emailing us at email@example.com. Also, at any time you are entitled to request a copy of the information we hold about you.
Retaining your personal information
We will only retain information about you for as long as it is reasonably required for us to conduct business with you, unless otherwise required by law or as required by our accountants and auditors to comply with our obligations to HM Revenue & Customs for tax and reporting purposes.
